They are step in boots (for step in bindings) but the clip on the back comes off (as seen in the pictures). I will put back on for you if you want, or just send w the package. They can be used in regular bindings, as that is what I did. All you need is a screwdriver; it takes maybe 30 seconds to put the clip(s) on and take them off.
