Lightly Used Vapor XXXX Skate

Lightly used Vapor XXXX SR Skate in excellent condition. They were the top end of Bauer’s Vapor line in 2007. In today’s standards I’d describe them as a mid-high tier level boot. With the stiffness of a top end skate but the weight of a mid tier. With that being said, you don’t find build quality like this anymore. And these remain in almost new condition. Very little cosmetic damage to the outside (some puck marks and light cuts/scratches. The eyelets are all in place and none are torn. The clarino leather liner is in perfect condition. Tendon guard is intact and stiff. Outsole isn’t chipped anywhere. All in all these skates would make a beer leaguer very happy for 10+ years in my opinion. I’ve worked in pro shops and seen these skates with many miles on them and they hold up. I acquired these in a trade and from what I can tell, they were very lightly used, maybe only for coaching. While these are ready to hit the ice as is, I would recommend new steel as these were the subject of some profiling experimenting I had done and had only ever used them once on a synthetic ice session. Along with that I’d recommend upgrading them to bauers newer holder since this steel is next to impossible to find. Last thing I’d say is the tongue is thin and the felt has gotten a bit stiff with time. But again, these are ready to go and make someone happy for years to come!
