The new Bauer Vapor 1X Hockey Shoulder Pads have been through a thorough re-development and are back better than ever. Like the rest of the new Vapor 1X line, the biggest improvement here is the addition of Bauer's Curv Composite to sternum and bicep guards of the pad, cutting weight and vastly improving protection. From there, you'll find AEROLITE foam composing the majority of the body, further segmented into flex panels that allow for a full range of motion. This is further complimented by their Free-Flex technology that can be found throughout the chest piece and bicep guards to allow free movement in every direction. Further protection can be found in the way of a detachable MD foam belly pad, and arch protection reinforced with HD foam. You'll find more new technology throughout the liner, where the holdover 37.5 fabric is now aided by Bauer's new Transfer Mesh which encourages airflow through the fabric by creating a miniature air tunnel between layers with miniature architecture keeping them separated. As a whole, the Vapor 1X Shoulder pads have seen a serious improvement and embody Bauer's goal of Ultimate Mobility.
